After moving to a remote lakeside cabin, he meets this other author, Shoother, who claims that Mort has plagiarized Shoother’s work. The whole film is about the issues between Mort and Shoother. Eventually the Mort’s wife finds out that Shoother is the dark side of Mort and Mort is suffering from a personality disorder. Eventually Mort kills both the wife and her boyfriend, which will take him out of writer’s block and inspire him to write again. Can there be a better thriller to explain what writer’s block is?
